27 Fortnights, the Maxxia Wallet, and the EOFBTY

You may remember that last year we made some changes to help make the EOFBTY better.
We specifically made two important updates to how we budget contributions; the first was a permanent change regarding the Maxxia Wallet and the second was to help customers who have 27 fortnightly pays in the FBT year (instead of the usual 26).
Why we made these improvements
Maxxia Wallet – We identified that some Maxxia Wallet customers had pay dates that occurred in the final few days of the FBT year, this meant they had very little time to spend their balance!
27 Fortnights – Most years, Maxxia receives 26 fortnightly salary packaging payments each FBT year for employees who are paid on a fortnightly basis. However, this year some employees will have 27 pay days, this extra pay has an impact on how we setup your budgets.
What you need to know about these updates
Maxxia Wallet card – Living Expenses and/or Meal Entertainment – Just remember that payments to the Maxxia Wallet card will stop one pay early!
To provide you with extra time to spend your remaining balance before the end of the FBT year, the Maxxia Wallet card annual budget is now spread over one less pay each FBT year, so no Maxxia Wallet payment will be made from your last pay in March.
Your cap limit has not changed, it's the same annual budget, just over one less pay.
The annual administration fee will still be spread equally over the full year, so the contribution from the final pay of the FBT year in March will be the Maxxia administration fee only, unless you have other active benefits that are requested.
A Your Benefit Summary email will be sent to you to confirm your deduction amounts when they restart in the new FBT year (April).
27 fortnights
If you fall into 27 fortnights this FBT year or any year, your salary packaging contribution amounts are calculated over 27 pays not 26, which means the regular amount (including the admin fee) has been reduced slightly each fortnight (by approximately $10-$15). Everything else remains the same; no further action is required and contribution amounts will return to normal in the next FBT year.
